Walks in the Slieve Bloom Mountains Ireland.

Slievebloom Walks is a centre based walking holiday which allows you to stay in a traditional Irish home at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in the heart of the Irish countryside for the duration of your trip and enjoy local hikes.

 

You can enjoy a selection of classic Irish walks that take in the most striking scenery on the Island barely meeting anyone. Each of the villages of the Slieve Blooms have signed and mapped loop walking trails where you can enjoy terrific hiking and beautiful scenery.

Walking

Here you will find some of the best walking opportunities in Ireland, whether you want just a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hill-walk. This peaceful retreat has a wide variety of Walking Trails to suit every type of walker.

 

  • Long distance walks The Slieve Bloom Way links with the Offaly Way at Cadamstown
  • Day Treks from Glenbarrow to Clonaslee, Clonaslee to Cadamstown, Cadamstown to Kinnitty.
  • A variety of Loop Walks at Glenbarrow near Rosenallis, Clonaslee, Cadamstown, Kinnitty
  • Eco Trails at Glenbarrow, Cadamstown, Knockbarron, Glenafelly and Gorteennameale.
  • Wild Life, Wheelchair accessible and Heritage Walks at Lough Boora Parklands just 10k from the Slieve Blooms

 

There are day treks from village to village or you can walk the Slieve Bloom Way over 3- 4 days.

 

Our self guided walking holidays give you the freedom to set your own pace. If you prefer we can arrange a walking guide. The terrain of the Slieve Blooms is ideal for the lifestyle walker and very suitable to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.

 

The Slieve Bloom Walking Club welcomes visitors to join them on their weekend walks. Programme of walks can be found on their facebook page Slieve Bloom Outdoors.

 

You can choose from Self Guided Walking Break, Mid Week Breaks, Weekend Breaks, Walking and Heritage Breaks, Slieve Bloom Walking Festival.
